Hunter Biden News Should Shame Dismissive Media Outlets

Hunter Biden announced Wednesday he is under federal investigation for his financial dealings in foreign countries, including China. While the news sent shockwaves through Washington, D.C., it shouldn’t have been surprising. The announcement confirms many of the allegations of corruption that were leveled against Hunter Biden in the months leading up to the November elections – allegations the media steadfastly refused to cover.

The nation’s largest social media companies went further: They made the shocking decision to actively censor the New York Post’s eye-opening scoop revealing evidence of Joe Biden’s son’s influence peddling that was recovered from an abandoned laptop. Twitter locked the newspaper out

Don’t expect any ‘media culpas’ over ignoring Hunter Biden before the election

It’s not exactly a bulletin that the role of the press in a free country like ours is to cover the news – not to cover up the news. Yet, that’s precisely what many journalists did in the final few weeks before the presidential election.

Don’t expect any ‘media culpas’ over ignoring Hunter Biden before the election

Let’s take a trip down memory lane.

Almost all major mainstream news organizations flat out refused to pursue a blockbuster story published in the New York Post about Hunter Biden’s business dealings with foreign entities – and whether or not they were aboveboard.

That Hunter was cashing in on his family’s name seems fairly obvious. While that may not be illegal, it does raise questions: Was Hunter telling his Ukrainian and Chinese business associates that he would put in a good word for them with his father, who one

Peter Schweizer on Hunter Biden: ‘He was flat-out lying to the national media’ and they ‘accepted it’

The mainstream media did Americans a “massive disservice” by failing to pursue the story surrounding the federal investigation into Hunter Biden before the election, Peter Schweizer told “Life, Liberty & Levin” in an interview airing Sunday.

“We have a national media that wants to protect certain powerful figures and wants to go after other public figures,” the “Profiles in Corruption” author told host Mark Levin. “And it’s a national tragedy.”

Hunter Biden, the 50-year-old son of President-elect Joe Biden, confirmed in a statement Wednesday that his “tax affairs” are being investigated by the Delaware U.S. Attorney’s Office. A source with knowledge of the situation told Fox News the investigation began in 2018. Other sources added that the investigation was based in part on the existence of Suspicious Activity Reports (SARs) related to Hunter Biden’s business dealings in “China and other foreign nations.”

“We’re in a situation today, Mark, where a

Jonathan Turley: Has the media finally awoken to Hunter Biden?

“Hunter is stuck on the roof.” That is what the transition team for Joe Biden should have said this week, instead of declaring that Hunter Biden is under federal investigation. The surprise was a lot to handle for many who have been insulated from real news about the case for weeks. The Biden team evidently never heard the old joke about the man who calls home during a trip to speak with his brother who was house sitting.

When asked how things are going, the brother blurts out, “Fluffy is dead.” The man is shocked and yells that is not how you tell someone their cat died. Instead, he claims, you build up to it and say the cat is stuck on the roof, and then call back to say she fell. After the brother says sorry, the man asks how their mother is doing, and the brother pauses before

Rep. Gaetz slams media’s ‘double standard’ on Swalwell Chinese spy story and Hunter Biden probe

Following reports of Rep. Eric Swalwell, D-Calif., being targeted by a Chinese spy and Hunter Biden revealing his business dealings with China are under federal investigation, Rep. Matt Gaetz, R-Fla., is calling out the mainstream media’s unfair spin.

“I’m old enough to remember when Lev Parnas showed up and made a few donations at Republican events. That was wall-to-wall coverage from the media,” Gaetz told “Fox & Friends” Thursday, “but when Eric Swalwell engages in a very close relationship with clearly an agent of Communist China, well, that’s deemed as something we can just accept and move on.”

CNN covered the Swalwell report for a little over three minutes, while MSNBC, ABC, NBC and CBS didn’t give address the year-long Axios investigative report at all.

Biden and Corporate Taxes: The Question Is How High?

Rep. Cedric (D., La.), former co-chairman of the Biden presidential campaign, spoke at the CEO Council summit this week about President-elect Joe Biden’s immediate plans for when he takes office in January.

Mr. Richmond, appointed director of the Office of Public Engagement in the Biden administration, spoke with Wall Street Journal Executive Washington Editor Gerald F. Seib about the new administration’s agenda and what his own role will be in making it successful, on issues from the pandemic and the economy to taxes and racial justice. Edited excerpts follow.

WSJ: Joe Biden ran as a moderate Democrat. But there are still concerns in the business community, worries about higher corporate taxes or capital-gains taxes, more regulation, maybe too much influence by your party’s left wing. What would you say to business leaders to reassure them on those fronts?

MR. RICHMOND: Well, I’m not necessarily sure that I’m here to reassure
